Landscape Studies

Landscapes are the interpretation of my natural South African environment as an expression of a primarily romantic sensibility hence the sublime and transcendent qualities of the African landscape.  It is very spiritual and fulfilling to approach a flat and empty canvas, and to create mountains and clouds and valleys with a brush and a paint tube. It's almost like watching a rose grow from the flat surface of the earth…..
